Emotional Eating

We do not want you to suffer in silence (aka guilt and shame) and making an appointment is a very good sign you are on your way to recovery – to be free from the constraints of relentless over-eating or the opposite – emotional hunger. In some cases, an eating disorder but in others, a desire to stop eating on feelings or ‘bingeing’.

Recovery is a process and can be very complex, support is needed and hypnotherapy is very effective to move forwards and break free from the cycle.

People suffering with emotional eating, focus and obsess around food – believing that by controlling food intake or weight they can rid themselves of their lack of self-worth and painful feelings. Or they may eat when feeling stressed out and unable to deal with difficult feelings and emotions.

Hypnotherapy for:

  • Letting go of bad eating habits
  • Managing self esteem
  • Letting go of limiting self belief systems
  • Overeating cycle, purging or strictly controlling and denying food by addressing unresolved issues
  • Permanently breaking the destructive cycle of bingeing, yo-yo dieting or self-starvation and learning to intuitively eat when hungry
  • Identify the toxic self-talk, the blocks and negative mentalities around food and body image
  • Focusing on gut health and nutrition for brain functionality and concentration

Hypnotherapy can be a very effective complementary therapy and we see encouraging results by instilling confidence and support.
Disordered eating tends to start in teenage years (and often even younger) and all too often continues into later life.

The sessions are able to reconnect you to areas of your life that you may have been hiding from, it allows you to break free from stories and imprints you’ve been living with and believing around food (often body dysmorphia), and most importantly, banish the negative noise and self-talk that keeps you stuck. It is a journey and immensely relieving.

Intuitive Eating is an non-diet diet – an approach developed to help people who have issues around food and alleviate them so as to develop a healthy relationship with food – this relationship is for life after all.

It is tempting to believe that there is a way to lose weight quickly, easily and permanently by taking drastic measures, eliminating entire food groups, radically cutting calories or going on a low-carb diet. In reality, most people are unable to override their body’s natural biology and cravings for extended periods of time. Instead of trying diet after diet only to feel like a failure every time you cannot stick to such a rigid plan. Stop dieting all together and join the intuitive eating gang! Guilt free, nourishment with self-care as the base line.

We are very sensitive to these issues, creating a safe haven for the client and offer long term support with our four pillar support system.
